I got this book as a Goodreads First Reads winner. While I had trouble sticking to this book, I enjoyed the story line. I constantly found myself skipping the parts between character conversation. I found it a little dull and long causing me to skip it altogether in areas. That being said, I did find the characters interesting and towards the end I found myself actually smiling.
When photographer Elisa is hired to take pictures of food for a local restaurant, she finds herself falling for the man who hired her. Brody is a man scared by divorce, sees himself as damaged goods. However, when he sees the woman who is taking photos for his restaurant, he finds himself not only physically attracted to her but falling for her too.
Brody's choice to let his past prevent him from having a future could cost him the only woman he's ever truly loved. Elisa can't get Brody to admit his feelings for her so she follows her dreams and takes a photography gig in South Africa.
Is the love these two share strong enough to convince Brody to take a chance? Was it just a fling or will Brody finally tell Elisa how he really feels about her?
